How much is overseas ocean freight/shipping?
Of course this can range greatly depending on size, quantity and location, but generally speaking you should budget between $9,000-$10,000 (single 40ft container).
How much does a 3/0 x 6/0 tilt-turn window cost?
Based on triple pane glass, you can expect to pay the following:
Aluminum Clad = $1500+
All Aluminum = $1000+
UPVC = $600+
What does the quote process look like?
After we receive the architectural plans, we will discuss your performance, functionality and design goals. Based on those design goals / performance metrics, we will suggest to quote various products. After confirmation, we will work on obtaining quotes from those chosen products.
What does the ordering/payment process look like?
After the final changes have been made to the quote, a deposit is made to secure quote and produce shop drawings. After shop drawings have been signed off, another deposit will be made to begin production. After production, another deposit will be made to have windows packaged + shipped. Once the windows are delivered/unloaded, the final payment is required.
What is the lead time for windows from Europe?
Production lead time is anywhere from 4-7 weeks and ocean freight/delivery to jobsite is typically 5-7 weeks.
Who handles logistics?
Logistics is all handled by our team in house. You will be kept in the loop every step of the way but we take full responsibility for all cargo being shipped, imported and delivered to your jobsite.
Who is responsible for unloading product at the jobsite?
Contractor, builder, or whomever is in charge of the job assumes responsibility to gather the man power, and heavy machinery (as needed) to unload the product from the container at the jobsite.
What does Uw mean?
Uw means (in laymen terms) the overall window thermal performance in regards to how much heat loss occurs throughout the entire window frame and glass. To convert Uw into the imperial U-value version we are all used to, take the Uw and divide it by 5.678. For example a tilt window that has a Uw of .78 means the U-value is around .13.
Are screens available with tilt turn windows?
Yes! They can come with most window options. They sit to the outside of the sash and are connected to the main frame.
